Literary London: Writers, Children and the Bloomsbury Group.

12th October 2024

This walk recalls Bloomsbury’s influential group of writers and radicals who Dorothy Parker described as ‘pairs who had affairs in squares’. We also discover on this walk the last London home of Charles Dickens, tales of foundlings and of runaway children. Sandy Wilson: “In our attic/We'll be ecstatic/As lovebirds up in a tree/All we want is a room in Bloomsbury.”
