Guided London Walks
Artists & Writers of Chelsea: home for old soldiers & a flower show.
London is the sum of many small communities, and this riverside village is one that has retained a particular identity, never quite overwhelmed by the buildings all around. Our walk identifies the former homes of many fine writers and artists, including Oscar Wilde, James McNeill Whistler and Dante Gabriel Rossetti. Discover the birthplace of ‘King Cotton’, why Wilde’s home is in a street that ‘…must always be full of wonderful possibilities’ and problems caused by a wombat.
