Guided London Walks
Thames Path part 1: from Teddington to Richmond.
Beginning the Thames footpath series, this walk starts at the highest point on the Thames reached by tidal waters. Teddington has the lowest permanent lock on the river, with its spectacular weir on view from the footbridge. The path through woodland and across meadows passes several fine 18th century houses before concluding at Richmond where the celebrated outlook of the river is from the top of Petersham Hill. See the locations for Monty Python’s fish-slapping contest and Rock ‘n Roll Island.
