Guided London Walks
Strolling Through Southwark: new meets old in an ancient borough.
This ancient borough was first settled by the Romans, but with building restricted by land liable to flooding. As London grew it has gathered a mix of historic features alongside modern ones. In this walk we discover a landmark sign familiar to Charles Dickens, hear about one of the founding feminist philosophers, see a building inspired by a glass vase and find a church with a London bus in one of its stained glass windows.
