Our walk begins at Tower Bridge, with its massive lifting bascules that allowed shipping to access the Upper Pool of London. Beyond the bridge are some fine old buildings in St Katherine’s Dock, often with historic Thames Barges moored alongside. Past Wapping’s old warehouses we divert through the remnants of London Docks, returning to the river near Execution Dock where pirates met their untimely end. The walk ends near the historic pub The Prospect of Whitby.
