This walk explores the area around St Paul’s Cathedral, visiting surrounding lanes and alleys. The General Post Office opened at St Martin le Grand from 1829, giving Postman’s Park its name. Find out about the memorial to heroic self-sacrifice, the inventor of the penny post, the choir boy who became a famous poet and the poet who became Dean of St Paul’s.
