Guided London Walks

West End Treasure House: explore the Wallace Collection.
Come along to discover the Wallace Collection and visit the dazzling assembly of art acquired by a succession of Marquesses of Hertford and finally the 4th Marquess’s son, Sir Richard Wallace. Discover the splendid riches of furniture, paintings, porcelain, Majolica, arms and armour and other fine pieces in the collection. Frans Hals’ painting The Laughing Cavalier is here, as is an elaborately gilded commode from the bedroom of Louis XV of France. In 1774, as he lay dying, Louis saw the firelight flickering on the handles and said it looked like the flames of hell.
