London is looking forward to hosting the Olympics later in the year, and many trial runs have taken place in preparation for events that will be held outside the Olympic park. As for the park itself, last July I took a conducted tour of the park and was impressed by the splendid buildings that will be part of the Olympic Legacy. The park’s location once had poor transport links, despite its central location, but huge improvements have been made. One route to the park will be by river, which will be a great way to arrive at this stunning venue.
During the Olympics weeks there will be many visitors to London, from both home and abroad. To help make the most of this special time we are providing an extra series guided walks, one every morning from 27th July to 12th August.

Andrew is an excellent guide; knowledgeable, friendly and with great sense of humour. I am looking forward to his next walk!
I have had the pleasure of 2 walks with Andrew, Fleet st & Smithfield and have found both enjoyable and very informative. I look forward to my 3rd Bankside.
Andrew is a very interesting, easy and knowledgeable guide. He conducts fascinating tours of places you didn't know and even more fascinating tours to places you thought you did know!
I have been on two now, St Pauls and Legal London. I have worked near both for years and it was facinating to find out more and in both cases see things I have never seen before. Andrew is very knowledgable and has a relaxed and friendly style - I will be going again.
Did the Bankside walk last year and discovered areas of London I didn't know existed! Very interesting and will certainly be doing another walk this year.
